Czech potato salad is a traditional Christmas dish at Christmas. It is very similar to the familiar Olivier salad, but the Czech salad contains more potatoes, hence the name.
Ingredients
- 4 medium sized potatoes
- 1 large boiled carrot (or 2 small ones)
- 1 pc boiled celery
- 150 grams of ham
- 2 pcs hard boiled eggs
- 3 pickled cucumbers
- 1 pc pickled bell pepper (larger)
- parsley
For sauce
- 2-3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp mustard
- ground black pepper and salt to taste
- parsley to taste
How to cook
- Boil potatoes, carrots, celery and eggs until fully cooked.
- Cut cooked vegetables and eggs into small cubes.
- Salt, garnish with herbs and add sauce. Mix well and refrigerate for an hour.
Instead of mayonnaise, you can put yogurt, sour cream or olive oilю. You can also add canned peas or corn to the salad.
